Philip has been involved in the client tax and accounting field since 2002. He is a partner in Freeth and Associates, who together with Malcom Freeth, operate a small accounting firm which specialises in providing accounting, bookkeeping and taxation solutions for SMME's. They have a large number of clients, based mostly in the Easten Cape, for which they provide a number of services including monthly bookkeeping, statutory returns, annual financial statements and various other services and advice as required by clients.

Philip started his career at Rand Merchant Bank as Analyst in Johannesburg after which he transferred to Arthur Andersen in Port Elizabeth. Thereafter he operated his own business providing accounting and taxation services to private and corporate clients. A better opportunity presented itself at Rocklands Poultry in Uitenhage where he spent a year and a half as Group Financial Accountant before joining the practise of Freeth and Associates. A large number of his previous clients also followed him to the new endeavour.
