Severe Illness

There is a big difference between a severe illness benefit and a disability benefit. You may find that both could pay out for a claim due to cancer, heart attack and many more, however the severe illness benefit has nothing to do with your potential to be able to work or not. The severe illness benefit is covering your anatomical and physiological disorders of the human anatomy, your body.

This benefit pays out more often than disability claims and is paid out based on the diagnosis of having met one of the medical definitions in the policy document.

Please see the claims statistics section to view more and make sure that you have ensured yourself because, you could face a situation that your medical aid does not cover all costs, that you still have capital debt to settle and that new unexpected financial needs need to be catered for due to your severe illness.
